I added my favourite oils: Rose oil, sweet almond oil, Apricot kernel oil and a dash of jojoba oil. I used my special herbs ideal for my face to cleanse it but also aid with my ageing skin and to keep it soft and nourished.
I used horsetail to repair my skin as this plant has tons of silica- the stuff your skin, nails and hair is made of- I used Galium to keep my pores clean and gives a beautiful skin tone. Rose for softness and balanced skin (and rose scent too). Chamomile for softness as well as the gentle lightning effect for skin pigmentations and it also sooths irritated skin. And I used calendula for it's many beneficial effects in skin healing.
The collagen I use vegan so it's made of seaweed and it transformed the cream into a beautiful shade of creamy pink. I use a dash of Vitamin C and D as I love a full pallet of minerals and vitamins in my creams.
Naturally I added little trickle of local honey and some aloe vera gel from my homegrown plant- All aids for soft & healthy skin and some allantoin for skin healing.
In the end the herbs go into pure water, I'm lucky I have directly a mountain stream running next to the house, the purest water you can imagine. I put the herbs gentle to the boil and I add the mix after that with rosewater for softness and rose also helps to balance the skin and witch hazel to aid ageing skin and to keep pores clean and small. I mix the oils than with the herbal liquid and the pinkie cream is created. We have the fluffy cloud, now next lets add the scent.
This time I go for... my favourite Rose, immortelle and some Palmarosa - all oils aid skin ageing and Rose is just the perfect scent for this quick face cream that will brighten my day when I put it on the go.
